TEAL,TURQ,AQA and teary eyed

Glad you stopped for a visit...I finished up the bed I picked up to sell. Then a great opportunity came along ,my son and daughter in law both found great opportunities in Texarcana .They both we're offered positions that will offer chances for future positions in their chosen field. So the little bed is going to Miss Alexandria my granddaughter who will be 3 in Nov. She has been sleeping in my big cast iron bed with brass details..but it really is too big for her...So this little bed will become hers....

Yes folks it is hot in Texas, today was 100 plus again. I snapped this before loading. I wish the color  was true to it real tones. I worked in two  different systems but this was as close to the real tones...truly more teal with deep tones in the posts. I made a little sign to go with a few other accessories myself and Alexandria's mommy  are going to make for our Shark loving little girl. She laughed at the shark bite in the heart.
I painted the posts and the top section in the deep tone(ocean slumber)
The main body of the headboard and foot board I did a multi tone of 5 different colors all in the teal-aqu family. You can find more of these tones in August posts...I did a little different treatment, not as much distressing.

I used Annie Sloan as the base paint in CoCo and I used the clear wax to seal and buff. This is a shot of the sign close up

When the room is finished, I will take a few pictures. The boys room will be a fun train your dragon for Britton his imagination is so wild...and I drew up a little sign to show him today(Grandma takes care of them when my son has things to do) he laughed and said pleaseeeee. Then Roman got  home from school 2nd grade...he wants some of the Brave movie tied into a sign for him.....You always treat everyone the same with kids..so signs by Grandma Kat....all around....

And tearing up thinking of how much I will miss the close bond that the past few years have allowed us....Family! is their anything else...

So to those who have stopped by thanks, and for those who comment my thanks and I always respond, to my followers thank you for coming back to see what kind of Kalamity I may be creating or solving.....

oh you are going to be lonely! the bed looks great. My dad lived in Texarkana as a teenager. He and his family built one of the churches there. While he was working on the steeple he fell and landed on his head!
